For the TVAA “Monsters” Exhibition at Boise State Public Radio I made two assemblage pieces using plaster doll limbs.
“Venus in Fur” is a plaster doll leg painted with a venus fly-trap, and Fimo talons. Dried moss and stick pins top off the knee.
“Idle Hands are the Devil’s Playthings” is an assemblage of clasped doll hands with fabric arms which I stuffed and then appliqued with appropriately gruesome fabric. Fimo claws, dried moss and stick pins complete the piece.
